The School's Curriculum

In educating your child we are concerned about the development of the whole child. We aim for your child to progress in an atmosphere that encourages confidence emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.

We believe that children should develop at a pace appropriate to their different needs and that individual needs and abilities should be met. Where possible work is planned to ensure all opportunities for cross curricular links are used. Each class uses a mixture of class, group and individual teaching as appropriate.

Literacy
At Netherhall Learning Campus Infant School, we believe that the ability to communicate effectively is essential in all aspects of life. With that in mind, we ensure that our Literacy lessons are rich with reading, writing, speaking and listening opportunities.

Numeracy
Mathematics teaches us how to make sense of the world around us through developing a child’s ability to calculate, to reason and to solve problems. It enables children to understand and appreciate relationships in numbers and shape, space and measures in their everyday lives.
