Autism Awareness Week
On Friday 22nd March we celebrated World Autism Acceptance Day, as a way to raise awareness for the challenges of those on the Autism Spectrum, as well as for those who are in their families or friend groups.
We are incredibly lucky to have our Alternative Resource Provision within our diverse and inclusive school community, which provides support for pupils with Complex Communication & Interaction needs. Therefore, World Autism Acceptance Day’s message of kindness, understanding and celebrating difference is paramount.
Throughout the day we dressed in a ‘Spectrum of Colours’ and completed activities in our classes to celebrate differences with the character Pablo.
