Collective Worship
From Monday to Wednesday, the whole school gathers in the main hall for collective worship. During these sessions, we focus on our half-term value, exploring it in greater depth through stories, songs, drama, and opportunities for questioning and reflection.
On Thursdays, worship takes place in the classroom, providing pupils with a more intimate setting to share their thoughts and ideas.
Friday worship is a time of celebration with God, where we recognise a wide range of achievements. These include Stars of the Week, attendance and punctuality awards, birthdays, the Captain’s Table, sporting successes, and accomplishments from outside of school.
We are also proud of our established St James Award, which is presented to pupils who consistently demonstrate our Christian values in their daily lives. Awarded once each term, one pupil from each year group is chosen. Winners receive a St James medal and have their names displayed in the school hall for future generations to see.
