We are dedicated to providing our students with a broad range of experience during their time at the studio school.
In addition to supporting and challenging students to develop their skills and knowledge in the classroom, we want to give them the opportunity to put these skills into practice and gain valuable experience in industry.
Professional Practice (work placement) is a great opportunity to gain these skills and experience;
As part of their development and work readiness, all Year 12 students are expected to secure work placements at the end of year one.
The majority of placements will take place during the hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, however there will be some creative opportunities on a weekend or in the evening should students want to participate.
Students are responsible for finding a placement in their chosen creative field and are supported during their weekly Thrive sessions, Parental support and encouragement is invaluable during the research stage as well as pointing students in the direction of useful contacts to help secure a placement.
