HOW TO APPLY

Our college use the "get-into" application system, please watch the video link for help. You should register as a new user and indicate that your school is ‘out of area/not listed’. This will allow you to set up an account and complete the application form. 

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN THINKING ABOUT YOUR NEXT STEPS

Do your research!

It’s so important to make an informed decision about where you continue your studies after you finish school; choosing where will give you the best chance of success and not just following your friends is key.  Our biggest piece of advice is to get out there and visit all your options, you can read all about a college but until you attend an open day and talk to current student you can’t decide if it’s right for you or not.  Our top tip on how to decide is talking to current students, ask them about:

• The courses
• The facilities
• How they are treated by staff
• The size of the college
• What it like getting there
• Opportunities open to you.

Do you have deadlines? We would advise you get your application form into us by the end of February in Year 11 to be included in the first round of interviews in the middle of March, but we do accept applications until our courses are full, please remember we are small and our courses fill up fast!

What are we looking for?  See our course outline for specific entry requirements but for all our courses we are looking for

• Creativity and Passion
• Good Attendance and Punctuality
• A positive attitude to learning

Attend your Interview!

We interview all our applicants; these will take place in March in the Creative & Media Studio School. You will be expected to confirm if you can attend and to also bring along your portfolio, show reel or audition piece.

 Accept your Offer

You will be given a QR code to scan - this will take you to a confirmation page, you will then accept your place or decline your place (at this stage it’s good to accept all your places).

• A conditional offer. Which means you have to meet the conditions given in order to enrol with us
• Not successful this time- this means you haven’t shown the required level of aptitude, ability or talent to be able to cope with level 3 creative pathways.

 Attend Welcome Day – July.

Each July, we invite all students who have accepted an offer with us to attend our Welcome Day. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other people who will be starting in September so that you can enjoy the last couple of weeks of summer without ‘first day’ nerves.

 Finally…Enrolment!

This makes it official, providing you meet the conditions of your offer you enrol and confirm that you will be starting with us in Year 12.
